Location

Sawston is found around 7 miles (11.27 kilometres) south of Cambridge and 8.5 miles (13.68 kilometres) north of Saffron Walden.

Village Information

Sawston is a large village situated on the banks of the River Cam and is an excellent location if you are looking for a village with useful transport links as it has access to the M11, A11 and London is easily accessible via the nearby Whittlesford train station.

There is also a cycle path which links the local villages together and makes it easy to cycle to the Babraham Park and Ride or into central Cambridge. There are two primary schools in the village, The Bellbird Primary School and The Icknield Primary School, both of which have been rated good by Ofsted. Sawston Village College is the secondary school and is also rated good.

Clubs range from numerous football teams, Army Cadets, Scouts and Brownies to a youth drama club making Sawston is a well serviced village on all fronts.

Facilities

The village has a range of amenities and different clubs, with a mini supermarket, a health and beauty store, hardware store, café and much more.

Three pubs are located in the village, The Greyhound Traditional Pub and Restaurant, The White Lion which is a Grade II listed pub and dates back to the 17th century and The King's Head is also a hotel.
