Location

Pampisford is a picturesque village located between the villages of Babraham and Sawston approximately 8 miles (12.87 km) from central Cambridge and 8 miles (12.87 kilometres) north of Saffron Walden.

Village Information

Pampisford an excellent area for commuters looking to gain access to central London or Cambridge, with Whittlesford Train Station a short drive away which has direct trains into London Liverpool Street. The road links are also good with access onto the A505 and M11 Motorway.

There is a village hall/community centre for local events, which is also available to hire for meetings or gatherings, there are two recreation grounds with green spaces and a small play area for younger children. 

There are a number of primary schools close to the village, The Bellbird Primary School and Icknield Primary School, both of which are located in Sawston and both of which have a good Ofsted rating. The secondary school, Sawston Village College is also rated good by Ofsted.

Facilities

Local facilities include a dentist, a parish church, a dog boarding kennels and the country store which is a family run business and provides country clothing, pet foods and equipment for country sports. The popular Chequers pub dates back to around the 16th century and is a popular pub that serves food for all ages.
